"Bad Watchdog" and "Future Hindsight" brought home the gold and silver medals in the News & Politics divsion at the fourth annual Signal Awards.
"Bad Watchdog" is the gold winner for both the Individual Episodes and Limited Series & Specials categories, while "Future Hindsight" secured second place in Individual Episodes.
"As an indie show, taking home a medal in a category as big as News & Politics is such an honor," said the "Future Hindsight" team in a social post. "THANK YOU to all of you who tune in to Future Hindsight!"
The Signal Awards aims to uplift the podcast medium and recognize unprecedented and meaningful audio project. The winners were selected by a judging panel, who listened to thousands of hours of audio to determine the strongest, award-winning-worthy work.
This year's awards also went to Ashley Flowers of "Crime Junkie," Hasan Minhaj of "Hasan Minhaj Doesn't Know" and "This American Life" veterans Brian Reed and Robyn Semien.
The Democracy Group thanks listeners who voted and helped our shows bring the awards home. The recognition is a testament to the quality of both podcasts and their dedication to strengthening our democracy through exceptional audio production. We're extremely lucky and honored to have them in The Democracy Group network.
